A holistic health & wellness app for Veterans

GRIT takes a 360° approach to health, including wellness features to help veterans with employment, social connectivity, mental health, benefits claims, and more.

GRIT partners with Total Brain to use well-researched psychological tests to assess its users mental health and provide exercises to improve.

Exercises

I first worked with the IBM GRIT team to create mockups for their Exercises feature.

GRIT is 508 compliant.

I helped update the GRIT app to meet 508 accessibility requirements.

Benefits Claims

Later, we added a benefits claims feature that would allow users to search and submit benefits forms directly through the app.

Working with developers for IOS and Android implementation

I use a combination of Sketch, Invision, and Zeplin to communicate the mockups to clients and developers.

Digital Journal

I updated the Digital Self feature to include the ability to journal.

Gamification

An important element of the GRIT app is gamification to encourage users to continue taking their assessments.

Avatars

We also worked on a customizable avatar feature to allow users to better connect with the Digital Self experience and add another element of gamification.
